Senior Product Lead
- Business Development

Overview:
Our client is seeking a Product Lead
- Business Development responsible for processing, distributing, and logging all new/change orders and RFPs in accordance with established procedures. Also, to manage the coordination of end-customer/government and commercial orders/contracts. Support business development efforts to generate new orders. Actively engage our customers and Sales team (Manufacturers Representatives & Distributors) to identify new opportunities and future programs.

Responsibilities
  • Process, distribute, and log all new/change orders and RFPs in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintain and update internal procedures for continuous improvement and establish SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
  • Coordinate end customer/government and commercial orders/contracts. Review terms and conditions to ensure information is accurate and acceptable for the Commercial department.
  • Support business development efforts to generate new orders.
  • Engage customers and the Sales team (Manufacturers Representatives & Distributors) to identify new opportunities and future programs.
  • Support business development financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting based on customer’s existing and future programs projections.
  • Generate and distribute sales reports as required.
  • Visit and manage customers/Reps/Sales team as directed by management.
  • Knowledge of export compliance. Prepare DD250s on government orders where required.
  • Attend regularly scheduled production meetings to ensure commitments to customers are met and issues resolved.
  • Coordinate information between various departments to ensure timely data flow into the Sales & BD Department.
  • Maintain customer relationships by responding to and following up on all customer requests.
  • Prioritize and monitor workload to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Follow up on quotes from submittal to win or loss; manage the win/loss report.
  • Carry out other duties as reasonably required by Management.
  • Qualify leads and new business opportunities (NBOs).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (Technical) or applicable experience.
  • 5+ years in promoting specialized Electrical Assemblies (HMIs, EMI Filters, Capacitors, Magnetics, Avionics sensing & control, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Government contracts.
  • Working knowledge of ERP and MRP systems.
  • Strong MS Office skills.
