Mechatronics & Robotics Technician – JLLJob Overview
As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will support the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will install, maintain and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment, mentor junior technicians, and contribute to continuous improvement.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities- Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
- Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all material handling equipment, including belts, motors, photo‑eyes, relays, and more.
- Maintain a positive working relationship across all operations facilities.
- Track and store department inventory.
- Move up to 49lbs, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12hours, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Travel up to 20% of the time, as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas, including weekends, nights and/or holidays.
- At least 2years of experience repairing material handling equipment.
- At least 2years of experience performing predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
- Associate’s degree or higher in a mechanical or electrical field (vocational school or college).
- At least 2years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.
- At least 1year of blueprint and electrical schematic reading experience.
- At least 1year of knowledge in electrical and electronic principles.
- Experience with material handling equipment safety standards in accordance with OEM and safety standards.
- Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Experience with robotic or electromechanical operation and maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions.
- Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking.
- Lifting parts and tools weighing on average 20lbs, occasionally up to 49lbs.
- Dexterity in eye‑hand coordination, foot (pedal) use, and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation).
- Working in small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces.
- Pushing/pulling wheeled equipment and carts up to 100+lbs.
- Maneuvering awkward or bulky equipment parts in cramped positions under or behind machinery.
- Standing/walking on concrete surfaces for 10+hour shifts; working at heights as required.

CompensationEstimated compensation: $64,313.00 – $64,313.60 USD per year.
