Package Delivery Driver

Delivery Driver – Starting at $22.25 per hour, Spelman Logistics, Inc.

Location:

425 South Cherry Street, Wallingford, CT 06492, USA

Compensation: $22.25 per hour, with higher rates for experienced drivers.

Schedule:

full‑time, 4 days on / 3 days off, including at least one day on the weekend. Usual hours are Sunday–Saturday, 10:50 am – 8:30 pm.

Job Type: Permanent.

• Operate and navigate a delivery van weighing 10,000 lbs. or less.
• Use a smartphone for GPS navigation, package scanning, clock‑in/out, and communication with supervisors.
• Load and unload packages in the delivery vehicle.
• Deliver packages on time, following local and state laws, company policies, and safety inspections.
• Provide excellent customer service in all weather conditions and during stressful events.
• Assist teammates, including participation in rescue calls when required.

• At least 21 years old.
• At least 5 years of clean driver history (no at‑fault accidents or moving violations).
• Valid driver’s license in the state of residence and clean driving record.
• Consent to pre‑employment drug screening, background check, and reference checks.
• Ability to lift, bend, reach above the head, kneel, crouch, lift up to 50 lb packages, and perform physical tasks for a 10‑hour shift.
• Good English speaking, reading, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to operate a commercial van and navigate various routes.
• Completion of paid DOT Commercial Motor Vehicle Training (CMV) required.

• Base pay starting at $22.25 per hour.
• Paid time off accrues on Day 1.
