Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Job Purpose

Our Shipping & Receiving Clerk has primary responsibility for ensuring the prompt shipment of goods and checking incoming packages for completeness and damage. The role prepares items for shipment and displays extensive knowledge of proper shipping techniques and procedures.

• Process all incoming shipments through visual inspections, verify quantity received, and ensure proper paperwork accompanies each shipment.
• Receive parts in JDE, creating a traveler for each item.
• Arrange incoming freight shipments within the OTM database.
• Work with Weatherford US Imports on international incoming shipments.
• Pack and palletize outgoing shipments as required.
• Use the OTM database to create shipments and schedule freight pick‑ups.
• Create all export documentation required, including Commercial Invoices, Shipper’s Letter of Instruction and Packing List.
• Maintain import and export documentation on a month‑to‑month or year‑to‑year basis.
• Order shipping and facility supplies as needed.
• Perform light facility maintenance as required.
• Manage outside preventative maintenance suppliers and annual contracts.

• 3 years' experience in a shipping/receiving role.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

• DOT & IATA training.
• Forklift training.

• Microsoft Office.

• JD Edwards software.
