Today, Thurston Foods, Inc. is a full line, full service, institutional distributor and bakery supplier with a product line that ranges from fresh meats and produce to cleaning supplies and kitchen equipment. We inventory over 6,000 different items and serve more than 3,000 customers, including schools, bakeries, restaurants, caterers, hospitals, government agencies and convalescent homes.

Our sales territory includes Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, New York and New Jersey.

This critical support role for the Warehouse Team requires the Order Selector to select orders accurately and efficiently in a timely manner.

• Efficiently and accurately pick customer orders.
• Safely operate an electric pallet jack in a fast‑paced warehouse environment.
• Select and palletize products using Vocollect technology.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and quality standards.
• Perform other duties and special projects as requested.

• Experience in various warehouse environments including freezer, cooler and dry storage.
• Ability to follow selection directions through headset (Voice Pick & Pick Label).
• Willingness to work overtime as required.
• Ability to stand on feet for 8‑12 hours daily.
• Capability to frequently lift 15‑55 pounds.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience working in a warehouse environment.
• Order selecting: 1 year (preferred).
• Electric pallet jack: 1 year (preferred).
