Wallington Plumbing Supply is seeking a Controller with at least 10 years of experience to oversee the company’s accounting and financial operations. This is a full‑time, on‑site position based in West Cleveland, NJ. Reporting to the CFO, the Controller will be responsible for financial reporting, general ledger management, cash flow monitoring, accounts payable, accounts receivable, internal controls, audit support, banking relationships, inventory analysis, and financial insight for leadership.

This is a hands‑on leadership opportunity for a detail‑oriented accounting professional who wants to play a key role in supporting a stable, multi‑location distribution business. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working closely with leadership, accounting staff, branch operations, and other departments to improve processes, maintain accurate financial data, and support long‑term financial stability.

• Oversee daily accounting and financial operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Prepare, review, and maintain accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Monitor cash flow, banking activity, and working capital needs.
• Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
• Support inventory, margin, cost, and branch‑level financial analysis.
• Assist with internal and external audits, tax preparation support, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage banking relationships and support financial documentation requirements.
• Partner with leadership and operational teams to identify process improvements and reporting enhancements.
• Present financial information clearly to non‑financial stakeholders.
• Process weekly payroll.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Prior experience as a Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar accounting leadership role.
• Strong accounting and finance skills, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
• Proficiency with accounting software, ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and office productivity tools.
• Knowledge of internal controls, compliance, and audit practices.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work full‑time on‑site in West Cleveland, NJ.

• CPA certification is an asset, but not a requirement for this position.
• Experience in wholesale distribution, retail, construction supply, HVAC/plumbing supply, or another inventory‑based business.
• Experience supporting a multi‑location business.
• Experience with Epicor Eclipse or similar ERP systems used in wholesale distribution or branch‑based operations.
• Experience improving accounting processes, reporting, internal controls, or inventory‑related financial analysis.
