Staff Accountant

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Walnut Creek, California. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. Your expertise will contribute to the smooth operation of our accounting processes and enhance overall financial management.

Responsibilities:

+ Reconcile general ledger accounts and support month- and year-end close

+ Assist with financial statements and management reporting

+ Process and verify vendor invoices

+ Maintain vendor files and ensure timely payments

+ Maintain depreciation schedules and capital spending

+ Support budgeting and forecasting activities

+ Maintain audit documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations

+ Support regulatory reporting

Requirements

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related

+ 2+ years of accounting experience

+ Strong knowledge of GAAP

+ Proficient in cloud/ERP accounting software

+ Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel

+ Detail-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment
