Accountant, Financial Reporting, Accounts Receivable​/ Collections

A mission driven non-profit organization in the East Bay is seeking an primarily remote Accountant to support day to day financial operations and help maintain accurate and compliant financial records. This role is well suited for someone with a strong accounting foundation who enjoys working in a collaborative, service oriented environment.

• 3 to 5 years of accounting experience
• Background in nonprofit, special district, or grant funded environments
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively

• Maintain full responsibility for organizational financial records
• Perform general ledger accounting and monthly reconciliations
• Process payroll and support benefits-related administration
• Prepare and manage invoicing in coordination with internal staff
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Support grant tracking and compliance reporting
• Assist with budgeting and financial reporting

• $45–$53 per hour, with a minimum of 32 hours per week. Weekly hours may range from 32 to 40+ depending on workload

• Hybrid-remote (approximately 90% remote, two on-site meetings a month)
