Accounts Payable Associate

Overview

The Accounts Payable Associate is responsible for timely and accurate processing of accounts payables for a portfolio of properties.

• Weekly reviews property invoices to ensure accuracy of coding per the Property Chart of Accounts
• Ensures compliance of purchase order requirements and approvals
• Research vendor inquiries and report discrepancies as appropriate
• Review A/P Check requests and Final Account Statements to ensure within company guidelines and process appropriately.
• Processes weekly check runs per company guidelines; ensures checks are mailed promptly
• Partners with Portfolio Accountant to confirm funds are available prior to issuing checks
• Assists the Community Manager and Regional Portfolio Manager in accurate reporting of property expenses
• Minimizes risk to property operations by monthly preparing audit reports and communicating any deviations in normal procedures to the AP Manager and Controler.
• Follows Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Completes tasks or projects as assigned

Must-haves:

• Intermediate to Advanced computer skills
• Experience with Accounting Software Systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
• Schedule:
  
  Monday-Friday

Great to haves:

• Minimum two years accounts payable experience
• Experience with Property Management Software such as Yardi

The compensation range for this role is $25 - $35 per hour.
