Property Accountant

Job Location: Walnut Creek, CA

Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 per year

• Full-cycle accounting for multiple properties including A/P, A/R, GL, and bank reconciliations.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Asset Management, and Operations teams.
• Prepare complex journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Create and review approximately 20 monthly property financial statements.
• Reconcile and monitor mortgage and escrow balances.
• Prepare monthly financial statements specifically for the owner.
• Assist in annual budget preparations and other ad hoc projects.

• 2–3 years of full-cycle accounting experience, preferably in property management or real estate.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Yardi Voyager, Yardi Job Cost, Elevate, Construction Manager, Payscan.
• Strong knowledge of cash and accrual accounting and US GAAP.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Team player who can collaborate with other departments.
• Ability to work independently, juggle multiple priorities, multitask, and meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance strongly preferred.
