About the Role The Property Accountant will perform and manage the following areas of responsibilities:
Full-cycle accounting for multiple properties including A/P, A/R, GL, and bank reconciliations.
Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Asset Management, and Operations teams.
Prepare complex journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Create and review approximately 20 monthly property financial statements.
Reconcile and monitor mortgage and escrow balances.
Prepare monthly financial statements specifically for the owner.
Assist in annual budget preparations and other ad hoc projects.
About You2–3 years of full-cycle accounting experience, preferably in property management or real estate.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Yardi Voyager, Yardi Job Cost, Elevate, Construction Manager, Payscan.
Strong knowledge of cash and accrual accounting and US GAAP.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Team player who can collaborate with other departments.
Ability to work independently, juggle multiple priorities, multitask, and meet strict deadlines.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance strongly preferred.
