Accountant, Financial Reporting, Bookkeeper​/ Accounting Clerk

As a member of the Finance and Administration team at Clearstory, you will play a hands‑on role in maintaining and improving our accounting, bookkeeping, and administrative operations. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you'll own day‑to‑day accounting processes - from accounts payable and bank reconciliations to payroll administration and equity management - while contributing to a growing finance function with established processes and procedures.

This is an ideal role for someone with a few years of accounting experience who is hungry to grow and learn at a fast pace. You'll gain continuous exposure to a highly experienced corporate and finance management team.

This combination of company stage, executive exposure, and your desire to learn will allow you to develop a deep understanding of how to effectively run the finance and administrative functions of a high‑growth B2B SaaS company at the corporate level.

Base Salary: $85k - $105k

10% bonus eligibility

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• 2+ years of experience in Accounting (public accounting or industry both welcome)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Hybrid work schedule - 3 days per week in our Walnut Creek, CA office
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Extreme attention to detail and a perfectionist mindset
• Startup mentality - willingness to take on work outside your comfort zone and wear multiple hats
• Experience maintaining various roles in Administration (i.e., Accounting, Payroll, HR, Benefits) is a plus
• Experience in the software / SaaS industry is a plus
