Payroll Clerk

Description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, payroll processing experience, and a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality. The Payroll Clerk will support payroll operations and help ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Process payroll data including hours worked, deductions, bonuses, and tax with holdings

+ Review timesheets and payroll records for accuracy and completeness

+ Maintain employee payroll records and update information as needed

+ Assist with payroll-related questions from employees

+ Support compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations

+ Reconcile payroll reports and assist with audits as needed

+ Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to resolve discrepancies

+ Perform data entry and other administrative tasks related to payroll

Requirements

+ 1+ years of payroll, accounting, or related administrative experience

+ Familiarity with payroll systems and timekeeping software

+ Strong data entry and Microsoft Excel skills

+ High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information

+ Strong communication and problem-solving skills

+ Associate degree or relevant certification preferred, but not required
