Join a growing electrical and low-voltage contractor specializing in building automation systems, structured cabling, and integrated technology solutions. We're seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the general ledger team, oversee full-cycle accounting operations, and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting leader with strong construction accounting experience who enjoys improving processes, developing teams, and partnering with leadership to drive business success.

Responsibilities

+ Lead the general ledger team and oversee full-cycle accounting operations

+ Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes

+ Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analyses

+ Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and consolidations

+ Review balance sheet reconciliations and perform variance analysis

+ Support external audits and coordinate requested documentation

+ Analyze financial data and resolve complex accounting issues

+ Collaborate with finance leadership on strategic initiatives and reporting needs

+ Drive process improvements and workflow efficiencies

+ Manage, mentor, and develop accounting staff

+ Support hiring, training, and performance management activities

+ Assist with special projects, system enhancements, and operational improvements

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting

+ 10+ years of accounting experience

+ 5+ years of Accounting Manager experience within a construction environment

+ Strong knowledge of general ledger and full-cycle accounting

+

Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting

+ Construction accounting expertise, including project accounting and job costing

+

Experience with AP, AR, and cash management processes

+ Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills

+ Experience supporting external audits

+ Excellent communication and team management abilities

Preferred Qualifications

+

Experience with Viewpoint Vista ERP

+ Background in electrical contracting, construction, or related industries

+ Experience leading process improvement initiatives

+ Building automation, building management systems, or structured cabling industry experience

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
