Position: Accounting Administrative Assistant
Employment Type: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week
Compensation:$25.00 per hour
We are seeking an entry-level/junior Accounting Administrative Assistant to support our accounting and administrative operations. This role is ideal for someone with basic accounting or billing knowledge, comfort working in Excel, and a willingness to learn our processes and systems in a professional law firm environment.
Company Overview: Our law firm provides legal services with a focus on construction defect litigation. We value professionalism, accuracy, ethical standards, and strong client service.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain, scan, save, and organize accounting and billing data, invoices, documents, and supporting records with a high degree of accuracy.
- Assist with accounts receivable functions, including reviewing and organizing client invoices and regular contact with clients supporting timely payment processing and collection efforts.
- Assist with basic reconciliations, spreadsheet updates, and review of accounting records for accuracy.
- Provide administrative support to the accounting department, including correspondence, document preparation, and coordination of meetings as needed.
- Maintain accurate and organized electronic and physical accounting files.
- Assist with special projects and other accounting or administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Professional communication and customer service skills.
- Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including sorting, filtering, formatting, and basic formulas.
- Basic understanding of accounting or legal billing preferred.
- Accounting software experience preferred; training will be provided on firm-specific systems.
- Law firm experience is a plus but not required.
- Dependable and organized, with strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with numbers and repetitive tasks.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
