You are a detail-oriented, proactive, and compassionate individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. With a passion for working alongside a dynamic team, you’ll assist in handling a variety of matters including advanced estate planning, probate, trust administration, conservatorships, guardian ships, adoptions, and estate litigation. You have specific experience with probate and trust administration and can take the lead on these matters with the support of an attorney.
ScheduleThe schedule is Monday – Friday, 8:30AM – 5:00 PM. This position is based in our Walnut Creek office.
Requirements- High School diploma or equivalent; some college or vocational experience preferred.
- MUST HAVE 3-5+ years of experience as a paralegal in Trust and Estates
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel; familiarity with legal case management software is a plus.
- The job is performed indoors in an office setting, and includes extended periods of sitting, movement, and extensive work at a computer and phone.
- This position is in the office full-time for the first year. Hybrid schedule available thereafter.
We offer competitive pay based on experience (salary range is for base pay only), eligibility for bonuses, health insurance benefits (medical, dental, vision), a 401(k) plan with employer matching, participation in a pension plan, life insurance, and paid holidays/vacation/sick leave.
The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 a year, with an annual performance based bonus.

- Analyze trust provisions and prepare the “Trust Administration Attorney Summary.”
- Provide an Instruction Letter on the Trust Administration process.
- Prepare and manage Trust Administration documents, including Authorization to Release Information, Certification of Trust, and statutory notifications.
- Handle real property transfers, affidavits, grant deeds, and assessor forms.
- Manage estate valuation, title reports, date-of-death inventory, and asset allocation.
- Establish sub-trusts and prepare related documents.
- Prepare trust distribution summaries, tax returns (Forms 706 & 709), and accountings.
- Support probate matters, including drafting and filing court documents, reviewing probate notes, and obtaining certified orders.
- Assemble Trust Administration Legacy Binder and draft closing letters.
- Maintain CA Notary Public status and complete Continuing Legal Education.
