The Employee Benefits (EB) Consulting Practice offers excellent retirement, health, compensation, and investment consulting services to our clients. Health & Group Benefits Consultants are an integral part of the overall client management and client relationship function in the Health & Group Benefits Consulting practice. The successful candidate will have at least ten years of multiemployer consulting experience, with a strong working knowledge of benefits design, delivery, vendor management, and strategy.

This full-time, hybrid position will be part of a team supporting the delivery of consulting projects as well as maintaining existing and growing new client relationships. This position will be focused on the support of the multiemployer health benefits market with the potential for select public and/or corporate health clients.

What You Will Do

In this role you will lead or support Health and Group Benefit engagements, manage client projects and relationships, while delivering strategic guidance on plan design, financials, benefit strategy and vendor selection/management. You will support or oversee end‑to‑end marketing and vendor searches across all coverage lines; ensure rigorous project tracking and peer review; build strong internal partnerships; and may contribute to business development and prospect presentations.

  • Serve as the primary consultant for health and group benefit clients, leading client relationships, overseeing deliverables, and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Provide strategic consulting support on plan design, funding arrangements, vendor evaluation and management, and overall program effectiveness.
  • Lead complex client engagements, coordinating project execution, managing client expectations, and delivering high‑quality results.
  • Oversee the marketing and vendor search processes for potentially all lines of coverage including; with a focus on medical and pharmacy coverage.
  • Build, strengthen, and maintain trusted relationships with key client stakeholders, executive leadership, prospects, providers, and industry partners.
  • Support and mentor consultants, consulting actuaries, and other team members by providing technical expertise, project leadership, and professional development guidance.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand client relationships through the sale and cross‑sale of consulting services, contributing to client retention and practice growth.
  • Participate in business development activities, including proposal development, prospect meetings, and marketing presentations.
  • Collaborate effectively across Milliman practices and disciplines to deliver integrated client solutions and maintain strong internal partnerships.
