Our Water Business Group works to deliver safe drinking water, treat wastewater responsibly, develop sustainable supplies, and protect lives and property through flood control. Our experts solve complex challenges with bold thinking and technical excellence.

We seek a Senior Project Coordinator to support project teams in delivering water‑oriented planning, engineering, and science projects for important water agencies in California. The role requires service orientation, organization, and proactivity to meet deadlines, deliver reports and designs, complete administrative tasks, and maintain compliance with HDR project management guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with project initiation and documentation.
  • Support project setup and data storage location creation.
  • Develop and support project review forms.
  • Facilitate project reviews.
  • Manage project data.
  • Submit procurement requests for subcontracts.
  • Update projects’ physical percent complete.
  • Collaborate with the Project Accountant for monthly invoicing.
  • Coordinate meetings and record minutes.
  • Edit and format documents.
  • Track deliverables.
  • Coordinate travel as needed.
  • Assist with safety, health, and environmental procedures and documentation.
  • Create and update project SharePoint sites.
  • Support project close‑out and documentation.
  • Assist the Project Manager(s) and project team(s) as needed.
  • Support the Senior Accountant.
  • Support technical specifications.
  • Compose, type, format, proofread, edit, and organize documents, reports, specifications, and correspondence.
  • Create and maintain paper and electronic files.
  • Order insurance and monitor certificates.
  • Assist with developing project guides and provide information and support for project reviews.
  • Apply company quality assurance guidelines and procedures for project document management.
  • Prepare, organize, and assist with contracts and sub‑contracts.
  • Coordinate meetings and assist with presentations.
  • Exhibit professionalism with clients.
  • Work closely with multiple Project Managers and project teams.
  • Assist with or prepare project invoices as needed.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge and experience with SharePoint and MS Teams.
  • Knowledge and experience with Oracle and Pronto.
  • Ability to work with multiple personality types.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proficient time‑management skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate degree in a closely related field or a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Compensation and Benefits

The expected compensation range for this position is $28.25–$45.85 hourly, depending on skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
