Senior Civil Construction Inspector-NACE

Overview

As part of HDR's Field Services team, you will support infrastructure development by ensuring that designs are built to the highest standards across highways, bridges, water treatment, transit, and power facilities.

• Conduct and document observations of civil construction progress for infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, water/wastewater facilities, pump stations, pipelines).
• Mentor and supervise junior field staff as needed.
• Collaborate with other field representatives and Project Managers.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts.
• Serve as the most senior inspector on projects when required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Technical school or Associate degree.
• Caltrans experience.
• Road and Bridge experience.
• Relevant Industry Certifications.
• Ability to interpret construction schedules.

• High school diploma or equivalent (or 8 years of relevant construction inspection experience may substitute).
• Minimum of 5 years experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook).
• Strong written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Drug and Alcohol Policy adherence; position may require a drug screen.
• No sponsorship (visa) for US employment authorization.

Expected compensation range: $47.37 - $70.38 hourly depending on skills, experience, education, and location. Compensation may increase for California Prevailing Wage-covered public sector projects or other applicable wage and hour laws.
