We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Permanent Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. As an Assistant Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing, coordinating, and overseeing various construction projects from conception to completion. This role requires a deep understanding of construction management, cost control, budgeting, contract management, negotiation, scheduling, planning, and problem-solving.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a proven track record in managing complex construction projects.
- 1. Assist in the planning, coordination, and supervision of construction projects from inception to completion.
- 2. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction specialists to ensure project specifications and timelines are met.
- 3. Develop and manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring cost control and adherence to timelines.
- 4. Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to negotiate contracts, resolve issues, and ensure smooth project progression.
- 5. Implement and oversee comprehensive project plans, identifying potential obstacles and devising contingency plans to mitigate risks.
- 6. Monitor project progress regularly, providing updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- 7. Ensure compliance with construction safety regulations and quality standards.
- 8. Collaborate with the project team to troubleshoot and resolve any on-site issues.
- 9. Conduct post-project evaluation, identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements to improve future project delivery.
- 1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- 2. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in construction project management or a similar role.
- 3. Proven experience in construction management, cost control, budgeting, contract management, negotiation, scheduling, planning, and problem-solving.
- 4. Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
- 5. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- 6. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- 7. Proficient in project management software and MS Office Suite.
- 8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- 9. PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
- 10. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
- 11. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence and high standards.
