The Guest Teacher provides classroom instruction and supervision in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring continuity of learning across a variety of grade levels and subject areas. Guest Teachers implement lesson plans, maintain a positive classroom environment, and support the mission and values of Seven Hills by fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning experience for all students.
Responsibilities:Implement the classroom teacher's lesson plans and daily schedule
Take attendance and complete required documentation
Maintain a safe, respectful, and productive classroom environment
Supervise recess, lunch, and other assigned duties while upholding school expectations
Assign work or homework as directed by the classroom teacher
Communicate relevant classroom updates to the teacher and administration
Follow all Seven Hills policies, procedures, and safety protocols
Successful candidates will:Hold a Bachelor's degree (required); teaching credential preferred.
Teach effectively across multiple grade levels and subject areas.
Understand child development for students ages 5-14.
Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
Be reliable, punctual, flexible, and professional.
Use inquiry-based, student-centered instructional practices.
Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture and manage student behavior effectively.
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
