Position: Senior Project Manager - Engineering (Federal)

, you will be counted on to lead and coordinate projects across their lifecycle, manage complex programs, and drive successful outcomes for clients and HDR.

Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project's lifecycle (from development & initiation to close-out)
  • Manage large multidiscipline projects or medium-sized projects with a high degree of technical complexity, involving a large project staff
  • Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently
  • Establish and maintain client relations, and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings
  • Conduct work sessions for deliverable development with other staff and stakeholders
  • Coordinate staffing and workload through the project life cycle and ensure deliverables are completed on schedule
  • Track financial aspects of projects and coordinate and adjust work effort to stay within budget and schedule
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviews
  • Implement QA/QC procedures
  • Supervise large project staffs and mentor less-experienced Project Managers
  • Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree
  • PMP certification
  • Experience managing projects for Federal Clients
  • Strong track record of excellent client service and strong CPARS ratings
  • Experience developing and managing diverse teams
  • Willingness to travel including overnight trips
  • Commitment to HDR’s core values of quality work and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 10 years related experience
  • A minimum of 5 years project management experience
  • Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered (e.g., PE or P.Eng)
  • MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience a plus)
  • Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills
  • Active participation in HDR’s employee-owned culture is a must
