Overview
As a senior bridge design engineer, you’ll provide technical assistance and guidance for due diligence, investigation, remediation, improvement, and construction infrastructure projects. You will assist with the research, design, concept development, planning, and construction of load-bearing structures such as bridges, signs, walls, and transportation facilities. The bridge design engineer reports to the design manager. Yearly Salary Range $120,000-$200,000.
Responsibilities- Provide technical support on a variety of bridge projects.
- Lead successful delivery of high-quality projects within budget and on schedule.
- Collaborate with others and lead transportation and bridge teams in all aspects of bridge analysis and design, from conceptual planning and preliminary design to final design and construction.
- Identify, create and implement innovative engineering solutions based on client, project, and site constraints.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum four years of transportation engineering experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Proficiency in Micro Station, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D software.
- Hybrid office/field environment familiarity and ability to work with standard office equipment; may require exposure to conditions such as inclement weather, heat, humidity, noise, hazards, atmospheric conditions, and bodies of water depending on project requirements.
- Physical demands include frequent sitting, moving, standing, talking, hearing, and occasional balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and feeling; may require operating a company vehicle and lifting up to 35 lbs.
