Staff Electrical Engineer – Substation Design – Hybrid (3 days/week) – PE License Required
We're seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer with high voltage substation design experience to serve as a single-discipline lead on utility substation projects, supporting full lifecycle delivery from engineering through EPC on projects up to 765kV. This is an opportunity to work with a leading EPC firm on critical infrastructure projects for utility clients.

What You'll Do:
- Serve as Technical Specialist or Project Lead on assigned substation projects
- Develop protection and control design deliverables (protective relays, one-line/three-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, relay panel wiring)
- Develop physical design deliverables (yard layout, grounding, lightning protection, control building arrangements)
- Perform quality review of substation design packages, prepare equipment specs and BOMs
- Manage design budgets and schedules; coordinate with clients, vendors, and stakeholders
- Mentor junior team members and support business development activities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree + 5-7 years of experience in high voltage substation design
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Experience with Blue Beam
- Background at an engineering consulting firm preferred
