Industrial Water Process Engineer

Brown and Caldwell has an exciting opportunity for an Industrial Water Process Engineer to join our Oil & Gas team. In this role, you will work closely with and be mentored by other engineers, project managers, and client service managers to support the environmental engineering needs for large water, wastewater, and water reuse infrastructure for development of oil & gas industrial water projects across the United States.

The Industrial Water Process Engineer is responsible for solving moderately complex problems. This position involves critical decision making, based on limited guidelines and supervision, and exercising judgement and problem-solving capabilities.

• Lead the development of process modelsandperform advanced data analysis.
• Lead chemical/physical/biologicalprocess evaluations,alternatives analyses, lifecycle cost analyses, andimplementationof processoptimizations .
• Lead troubleshooting effortsof existing facilities, develop solutions forprocessissues.

• Oversee and guide junior staff in process design and definition, including mass and energy balances, process system requirements, equipment specifications, and preliminary design concepts.
• Participate in technical innovation projects,including the implementation ofnew technologies and processes.
• Leadthe execution of experiments,evaluate technologies for implementation.
• Lead physical/chemical/biologicaltesting and analysisanddata reporting.
• Understand and deliver BC’s process relateddifferentiatingsolutions.
• Engage on pursuits, providing process related technical content for proposals and presentations.
• As required, engage inprocess relatedrisk assessment and mitigation strategies.
• Contribute to regional conference presentations and/or publications, promoting BC’s brand.
• Support the development and creation of continuing education and training, including on the latest technical advancements.
• Actively mentor junior staff on development priorities and projects.
• Support subject matter experts and practice leaders in ensuring BC Standards are accurate, up to date and complete.
• Flexibility to adapt and execute variousadditionalassignments based on evolving needs.
• May provide mentorship, guidance, support, and knowledge-sharing to help less experienced team members develop their skills and grow within their roles.

• Proficient inprocess modeling and data analysis skills, strongtroubleshootingand problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to perform physical, chemical, and biological process performance evaluationswith high-level oversight.
• Skilled at effectively conveyingtechnical information to clients and internal stakeholders.

• Typically,a minimum of5yearsrelated work experienceinprocessengineering or related field.
• Typically, certified in the SMS Framework andprogressingthrough the SMS competencies.

• A bachelor's degree in environmental, civil,chemical,mechanical, orbiologicalengineeringde gree or equivalent experience is required.
• Licensure as a professional engineer is required.

• 5+ years of industrial water experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and a highly responsive candidate, capable of working in a diverse team environment and handling multiple tasks with competing priorities.
• Highly organized with the ability to coordinate the work of multiple team members including subconsultants.
• Candidate should be a self-starter, results-oriented and able to work under tight deadlines.
• Highly proficient using the Microsoft Office Suite.
