In the role of Structural Engineering Team Lead
, we'll count on you to work with other Nor Cal structural team leads and under guidance of the Nor Cal structural business class lead to:
- Supervise and be responsible for a team of engineers, designers, and/or modelers toward technical training and development, project delivery, and workload management
- Serve as a technical expert with recognized authority in structural engineering as it relates to projects, and resolve problems of greater scope and complexity
- Perform, plan, direct, and monitor all structural aspects of large multidiscipline projects or medium-sized projects with high degree of technical complexity, typically involving a large project staff
- Coordinate staffing and workload of staff through entire project development to complete documents on schedule
- Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently

- Conduct schematic, design development and contract document work sessions in conjunction with other Project Managers, appropriate technical professionals and other disciplines
- Assist in the responsibility for operations of production section including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control and marketing support
- May function as an Assistant Project Manager and assist in responsibility for production on projects in addition to management responsibilities
- Assist with administrative responsibility for section staff and technical service functions, and lead and coordinate services with other sections
- Be involved in marketing planning, proposals and interviews
- Be directly involved with industrial and public clients in marketing, project production and related issues
- Assist in ensuring that all work is planned, organized, controlled and evaluated through proactive project management system
- Implement, monitor and support company policy
- Assist in the selection, training, development and management of technical personnel
- Work cooperatively with National Directors and marketing staff in local and national marketing and production efforts
- Perform other duties as needed
- Licensed California SE
- Minimum of 1 year of directly supervising engineers
- MS in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Experience with ACI 350 water containing structures design
- Experience with OSHPD Projects
- Experience with ASCE 41 seismic retrofit design
