Key Responsibilities
* ** Individualized Care:
** Create and implement comprehensive occupational therapy treatment plans designed to help residents regain independence in their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
* ** Clinical Oversight:
** Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and collaborate with the nursing department to train Restorative Aides.
* ** Integrated Treatment:
** Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, including Patient Care Conferences and Utilization Review, to ensure a seamless continuum of care.
* ** Regulatory Documentation:
** Maintain precise evaluations, daily notes, and progress reports in accordance with the Occupational Therapy Board State Practice Act.
* ** Discharge Preparation:
** Lead family and caregiver training sessions to ensure a safe transition home, focusing on maintenance programs and functional independence.

Collaboration:

** Work directly with referring physicians to obtain approvals and update treatment protocols as resident needs evolve.

Qualifications
* Current, valid
** Occupational Therapist (OT) License
** in the state of California.
