Help Our Residents Reclaim Their Independence Shadelands Post Acute is seeking a dedicated and visionary Occupational Therapist to join our premier in-house therapy team on a PRN basis. At Shadelands, we believe that Occupational Therapy is the key to helping our residents return to the lives they love. We are looking for a clinician who can provide expert evaluations and treatments, particularly on weekends, to ensure our residents receive consistent, high-quality care.

Your Clinical Impact

Develop comprehensive, evidence-based treatment plans and secure physician approvals to kickstart the recovery journey.
* Functional Rehabilitation:
Treat patients according to personalized plans, focusing on the skills they need for daily living and independence.
* Mentorship & Supervision:
Provide clinical oversight for Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and assist in training Restorative Aides.
* Integrated Care:
Participate in patient care conferences and utilization reviews, ensuring clear communication with the interdisciplinary team.
* Precision Documentation:
Maintain high standards of documentation, including evaluations and progress notes, in compliance with the OT Board and third-party payers.
* Empowering Families:
Provide vital caregiver training and facilitate the ordering of durable medical equipment (grab bars, braces, etc.) to ensure a safe transition home.

Qualifications
* A valid, current Occupational Therapist (OT) License in the state of California.
* A passion for geriatric rehabilitation and a "resident-first" mindset.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
* Weekend availability is highly preferred!
