Job Details
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to join our elite team. This role is a crucial part of our finance department, ensuring our hard-working employees are compensated accurately and on time. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of payroll processes, tax procedures, and labor laws. You will play a pivotal role in managing the complete payroll cycle and ensuring compliance with all legal and company regulations.
Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the organization's entire payroll function, ensuring all payroll transactions are processed efficiently.Gather information on hours worked for each employee, calculate the correct amount incorporating overtime, deductions, bonuses etc.Prepare reports for upper management, finance department etc.Resolve issues and answer payroll-related questions.Maintain and document all payroll records.Conduct audits of payroll, benefits, and other HR programs, and recommend corrective action.Manage and resolve issues relating to payroll production.Ensure compliance with current government regulations.Establish and implement policies on matters such as payroll advancements to employees.Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits.Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance.Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.A minimum of 5 years' experience in a payroll department.Proven experience with ADP (or similar platform), complex payroll, UKG, multi-state, and LOA.Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations.Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel.Working knowledge of payroll best practices.Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations.Strong work ethic and team player.High degree of professionalism.Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills.Ability to communicate with various levels of management.Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a prestigious company and take your payroll career to the next level.
