Civil Litigation Attorney

Position Overview:



We are seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney to represent clients across a diverse range of matters including general liability, real estate disputes, commercial and business litigation, construction defect, and transportation-related claims. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil defense and/or complex business disputes and will manage cases from inception through resolution, including strategy development, legal research, discovery, and courtroom advocacy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in general liability, real estate, commercial, business, construction, and transportation litigation matters.
• Manage a full caseload from initial investigation through trial or settlement.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements.
• Conduct legal research and develop strategic case plans.
• Take and defend depositions; handle hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Negotiate favorable settlements and develop efficient resolution strategies.
• Collaborate with clients, experts, and internal teams to build strong case strategies.
• Maintain consistent client communication and provide practical legal guidance.
• Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal laws and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in civil litigation, preferably within general liability, real estate, commercial, business, construction, or transportation matters.
• Strong litigation skills, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and prioritize effectively.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Client-focused mindset with strong relationship-building skills.
• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active California Bar license in good standing.
