Description:
Infection Prevention Registered Nurse needed to coordinate activities related to the Infection Prevention Program.
The role involves providing surveillance, education, and expert consultation regarding the prevention, detection, identification, and control of infectious and communicable diseases, as well as healthcare-associated infections.
Daily responsibilities include monitoring admissions, readmissions, isolation patients, multi-drug resistant organisms, and reportable diseases.
Participation in bed huddles and safety huddles is required.
The position involves conducting rounds and providing just-in-time education to bedside staff.
Surveillance and analysis of infection data and communication with relevant departments are key aspects of the role.
Additional projects may also be part of the job responsibilities.
No floating to other units is required.
