IDD Facility Nurse – Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Agency Temp

We are hiring for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide professional care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health challenges, and substance use concerns.

Schedule:

• Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist the Registered Nurse in delivering quality nursing services.
• Provide health‑related training to unlicensed personnel.
• Administer medications and treatments or assist with medication administration.
• Assist with ensuring preventative and routine medical appointments are scheduled.
• Conduct medication closest assessments.
• Collect health‑related data.
• Observe for and report any abnormal health‑related findings to the physician.
• Communicate with physicians, pharmacies, medical suppliers, and the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Advocate for the people supported and assist with developing community supports to promote optimal health.

• Graduation from an accredited licensed nurse program.
• Current nursing license with no restrictions.
• Current CPR Certification or eligibility to obtain certification.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Interdisciplinary Team Members and with the people supported and their families.
• Ability to work independently, be organized, and prioritize work tasks.

• Ability to lift 20 pounds, 40 pounds or pull a minimum of 25 pounds as specified.
• Ability to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb and stoop.
• Ability to regularly stand and walk.
• Demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level.
