PRN Nurse (RN or LPN) – Days or Nights

PRN (as needed – minimally 2 shifts per month)
Schedule:
7am – 7pm OR 7pm – 7am
Compensation: $32 – $38 per hour (depending on role and experience)
Position OverviewAs an LPN or RN with RHA, you will have the opportunity to practice holistic nursing while making a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
Key Responsibilities- Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
- Observe, assess, and evaluate the health needs of the individuals we support
- Deliver health‑related training to unlicensed personnel
- Educate individuals on how to monitor their own health and, when appropriate, provide medication administration training
- Administer medications and treatments, or assist individuals with self‑administration
- Ensure preventative and routine medical appointments are scheduled and maintained
- Conduct medication closet assessments
- Perform quality assurance checks to ensure unlicensed personnel are completing assigned health‑related tasks accurately
- Collect and document health‑related data
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments
- Monitor for and report abnormal findings to physicians in a timely manner
- Collaborate and communicate with physicians, pharmacies, medical suppliers, and the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT)
- Advocate for individuals and assist in developing community supports to promote optimal health and independence
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN) OR Registered Nurse (RN) program
- Active, unrestricted nursing license
- Strong communication skills with interdisciplinary team members, individuals served, and their families
- Ability to work independently, stay organized, and effectively prioritize tasks
- Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification
