Overview
Working with physicians and oncology service line staff, the Nurse Navigator/Patient Educator / Program Coordinator is responsible for developing, facilitating, and/or coordinating system-wide patient care services developed for specific malignancies. The Nurse Navigator /Patient Educator will function as a patient advocate and resource, program coordinator/developer, clinical educator, and program marketing expert.
ResponsibilitiesThe Nurse Navigator /Patient Educator will develop and maintain a high degree of expertise and knowledge regarding state‑of‑the‑art technology and services related to Oncology and adhere to the Health System mission in providing quality care service.
Qualifications- Education:
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing – Required Bachelor's Degree;
Accredited School of Nursing – Preferred Master's Degree. - Experience:
Nursing – Oncology – Preferred. - Certifications/Licensure:
Oncology Certified Nurse – Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation – Preferred. - Skills:
Excellent writing and presentation skills;
Extensive experience and knowledge of PC applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook);
Excellent leadership skills;
Ability to work well with physicians, health care professionals, and community organizations.
Work Shift:
08:00 – 17:00 (No Waiver, United States of America). Pay Range: $87.18 – $117.68 hourly. Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure. Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area. Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting.
The work shift will contain the word ‘exempt’ on it. Scheduled Weekly
