Role Description

This part-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) role is an on-site position located in Walnut Creek, CA. The CNA provides direct resident care, including assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and safe ambulation. Responsibilities include measuring and recording vital signs, assisting with meals and hydration, reporting changes in residents’ condition to nursing staff, and helping maintain a clean, safe environment. The CNA supports residents with daily activities, offers emotional reassurance, and follows infection control and safety protocols.

The role involves working collaboratively with nurses and other team members, accurately documenting care, and adhering to facility policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications
  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of California and active CPR certification
  • Experience providing hands‑on care in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long‑term care setting preferred
  • Ability to safely assist with transfers, mobility, personal hygiene, and activities of daily living

    Strong observation skills for monitoring residents’ condition and promptly reporting concerns
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with residents, families, and healthcare team members
  • Knowledge of basic infection control, safety procedures, and standard precautions
  • Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and respect for residents from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to work assigned shifts, including possible evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
