Responsibilities
- Demonstrating the value and impact of our Impella® product portfolio to physicians and hospital staff.
- Advising Interventional Cardiologists and Surgeons in patient selection, partnering on training, and attending implants.
- Acquiring and demonstrating a working knowledge of our products/therapies and developing an extensive understanding of all their applications.
- Providing comprehensive guidance on the appropriate use of the Impella® devices enabling physicians and staff to deliver positive patient outcomes.
- Improving patient outcomes through education and medical staff interaction, including clinical demos and ongoing training for new and existing accounts.
- Collecting clinically relevant data, completing outcome reviews with customers and communicating activities with other team members and sales counterparts.
- Attending implants and consulting physicians and medical staff on appropriate use and applications.
- Utilizing Integrity Selling to change the standard of care and drive usage of Impella with physicians.
- Setting up 1:1 physician meetings/conversations, hosting physician and staff dinner programs with strong attendance and content.
- Collaborating with sales counterpart on awareness programs and activities in franchise.
- 2+ years of direct RN/NP/PA or Reg Tech patient support in an ICU, CVICU, Cath Lab or Cardiovascular OR experience.
- 2+ years of commercial sales experience related to products and technologies utilized in the cardiovascular space. (Clinical Consultant requirement)
- Ability to advance sales process with customers required.
- Ability to work in a team environment required.
- Availability to take call for emergent patient care.
- Experience delivering demonstrations and successful trainings.
- Ability to travel 50% within territory.
- Conduct duties and responsibilities in accordance with all state and federal laws and regulations governing the medical device industry.
- Preferred:
Hands on Impella support experience strongly preferred. - Ability to work and thrive in a team environment.
- Experience as an Abiomed per diem preferred.
- RN License strongly preferred.
- ECMO experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to advocate with physicians.
- Experience delivering clinical training.
Demonstrates expertise in Impella® product portfolio and its applications, providing clinical guidance and training to healthcare professionals. Strong ability to improve patient outcomes through effective communication, education, and collaboration within the cardiovascular medical device industry.
