PositionSummary
UCLA’s Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) is seeking a collaborative and forward-thinking Digital Accessibility Specialist to advance equitable access to academic content across the university. This is an exciting opportunity to shape inclusive digital learning environments at a leading research institution.
The Digital Accessibility Specialist partners with instructors, instructional designers, and academic units to ensure course materials meet institutional, state, and federal accessibility standards. Through dynamic training, individualized consultation, and strategic collaboration across campus, this role helps faculty design and deliver accessible, inclusive learning experiences for all students — including those who rely on assistive technologies.
This position plays a key role in building campus capacity around digital accessibility and Universal Design for Learning (UDL), while also addressing high-risk accessibility needs in academic programs. The Specialist brings particular expertise in STEM digital accessibility, supporting accessible mathematical notation, scientific diagrams and data visualization, coding environments, simulations, and technical documentation.
