NOON AIDE

Work Schedule

Part‑time, 2 to 2.25‑hour openings for a 9.5‑month employee, Monday through Friday at various school sites during the 2025–2026 school year. The work hours vary by site and position.

To provide a safe environment for students during morning and noon times.

• Playground supervision of students during playtime and arrival time, ensuring that students are respecting others and demonstrating proper and safe use of the equipment (i.e. balls, ropes, swings, climbing bars)
• The willingness and ability to move about the assigned work area, being visible and interacting with the kids in a positive manner
• Resolve student conflicts and develop solutions to student issues
• Managing the behavior of students during their lunchtime, including moving among students while they are eating, reminding them to pick up their trash and excusing them to the playground in a safe manner
• Other appropriate duties as assigned

• Skill to: Communicate effectively with students and staff
• Knowledge of: District and Site policies related to student behavior and supervision
• Ability to: Provide proactive supervision

  Equivalent to the completion of high school.

Persons performing service in this position classification will be expected to perform light work, which involves lifting no more than 20 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. The work requires a good deal of walking or standing, or sitting most of the time with some pushing and pulling of arm or leg controls.

To be considered capable of performing a full or wide range of light work, you must have the ability to do substantially all of these activities.
