The Opportunity

We are looking to add a Senior Inventory Coordinator – Raw Materials & Network Storage to our team. This role serves as the primary inventory coordinator between Walnut operations, third-party warehouse operators, manufacturing sites, Planning, Procurement, Transportation, Quality, and Finance teams to ensure accurate inventory records, material availability, and inventory integrity across multiple systems and storage providers. The position is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating inventory transactions and reconciliations, supporting network-wide inventory reporting, and driving inventory governance across multiple warehouse management systems (WMS), vendor inventory portals, and SAP.

This role supports annual inventory audits, warehouse-to-warehouse (W2W) reconciliations, month-end and year-end inventory validation activities, and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen inventory controls, operational execution, and working capital management across the network. Additional responsibilities include:

• Manage inventory accuracy across Walnut Distribution Center and multiple third-party warehouse and outside storage locations.
• Perform inventory reconciliation between SAP, warehouse management systems (WMS), vendor inventory portals, and warehouse inventory reports.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, adjustments, shortages, overages, damages, and inventory transaction issues.
• Monitor inventory movements, transfers, receipts, and consumption transactions to ensure accurate inventory records.
• Coordinate inventory transfers between manufacturing plants, suppliers, and warehouse locations.
• Develop and maintain inventory reports, dashboards, scorecards, and KPI reporting.
• Generate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc inventory reporting for Operations, Planning, Procurement, Finance, and Leadership teams.
• Analyze inventory trends, storage utilization, inventory turns, and working capital opportunities.
• Utilize advanced Excel tools including Pivot Tables, Power Query, XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, conditional logic, and reporting automation techniques.
• Serve as the primary inventory contact for third-party warehouse providers and outside storage partners.
• Coordinate inventory-related issue resolution with warehouse operators, suppliers, transportation providers, and internal stakeholders.
