In Walnut, CA our team is hiring a CNC Machinist who has experience in gantry machining.

Job Details

Job Responsibilities

Manufacture detailed parts and tools from blueprints, sketches, and drawings.

Set up and operate mills, computer‑controlled equipment (CNC) machine tools, and other machining equipment using mathematical and geometrical calculations.

Use precision measuring instruments to check and maintain tolerances.

Calculate dimensions using measuring instruments.

Install, align, secure, and adjust cutting tools and work pieces.

Monitor the feed and speed of machines.

Measure and examine completed products for defects.

Sets up low‑complexity, unproven parts.

Select and utilize appropriate cutting tools and work holding for various materials and machining processes.

Document manufacturing quantities and all required processes utilizing ERP system.

Perform precise measurements and inspections to ensure parts meet stringent quality control standards.

Qualifications

Proven experience maintaining tight tolerances on large‑format, rigid‑structure gantry machines.
Proficient in rigging, squaring, and securing multi‑ton work pieces onto stationary gantry beds.
5-6 years of relevant experience as a Machinist.
High school degree or equivalent, plus advanced training.
Experience with 5‑axis and 6‑axis machines.
Experience with multi‑spindle machines a plus.
Ability to use calipers, micrometers, etc.
Mastery of basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions).
