CFS has partnered with a manufacturing company in seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to support and advance their accounting operations in Walpole, MA. This individual will play a key role in strengthening processes, improving SOPs, and ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting.

Assistant Controller

Key Responsibilities

Lead core accounting functions: journal entries, reconciliations, close activities, and financial reporting support.
Develop, enhance, and document SOPs to improve efficiency across the accounting function.
Partner with cross‑functional teams to maintain accurate financial data.
Support audits and prepare required schedules and documentation.
Assist with special projects involving systems, reporting, and operational enhancements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience (Assistant Controller or strong Senior Accountant level).
Strong GL and reconciliation skills
Proven experience improving accounting processes and building SOPs.
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational abilities.
