Walpole, Massachusetts (Hybrid – 2 days in‑person, 3 days remote)
Employment Type:

Salary: $70,000 to $80,000 per year
- Prepare, process, and reconcile semi‑monthly payroll for more than 250 employees.
- Process payroll efficiently using ADP and verify employee timesheets.
- Coordinate with Human Resources and the Business Office for payroll changes (new hires, terminations, leaves, benefit changes).
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records in the system.
- Prepare and reconcile reports for retirement systems, employee benefits, payroll taxes, and other payroll‑related reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual).
- Perform year‑end payroll processing and reporting, including W‑2 and Affordable Care Act (ACA) reporting.
- Assist with Workers’ Compensation audits.
- Maintain and update EPIMS information.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Support system implementations, process improvements, and workflow enhancements.
- Provide ad‑hoc support to Human Resources and the Business Office with purchasing, invoice processing, special projects, and other administrative functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Business Manager.
- 3–5 years of progressively responsible payroll processing experience.
- Demonstrated experience processing payroll using ADP.
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations, accounting principles, payroll taxes, and reporting requirements.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to learn new software quickly, adapt to changing processes, and manage competing priorities.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to assist employees with payroll inquiries.
- Experience working in a public school district or municipality.
- Experience with Tyler School ERP Pro and ADP.
- Experience with retirement reporting, ACA compliance, and year‑end payroll processing.
- Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to build positive working relationships across departments.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
