Job Coach
League School for Autism is an award-winning, year-round program dedicated to the education of children on the autism spectrum. Our team approach to education creates a collaborative, supportive and open environment within our community. We are currently seeking a Job Coach to work 40 hours/week, Monday - Friday, 9:00am—5:00pm at our program in Walpole. Pay range starts at $22.50 - $26.40/hour.
This position is designed to support residential students participating in after-school community work internships. As a newly developed role, the successful candidate will play an active part in shaping and refining the position while helping to establish best practices for supporting students in community-based employment. The Job Coach must be comfortable working independently with limited on-site supervision, demonstrate strong judgment and problem-solving skills, and communicate effectively with internship supervisors, residential staff, families, and school staff to ensure a coordinated and successful vocational experience for each student.
Position Requirements:
- Associate's Degree or specialized training in a related field or experience working with autistic individuals strongly preferred.
- CPR, Safety Care and First Aid certifications (League School will provide training).
- Valid driver's license.
- Must pass rigorous background checks, including nationwide fingerprint screening.
Supervision Received:
Coordinator of Vocational and Career Services
Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Incident Reports, Narrative Notes, Accident Reports, etc.
Computer
Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
