GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support students in general education, special education, and vocational classrooms to promote access to instruction and participation in learning activities.
- Assist classroom teachers and special educators with whole-class, small group, and individualized instruction.
- Provide inclusion support to ensure students with disabilities can meaningfully access curriculum and classroom activities.
- Work with individual students or small groups to support academic progress, organizational skills, and completion of classwork or homework.
- Support the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) under the supervision of certified staff.
- Collect observational and instructional data related to student progress, behavior, and classroom participation as directed by supervising staff.
- Communicate and collaborate with special education teachers, general education teachers, counselors, and related service providers regarding student progress.
- Assist with organizational tasks, documentation, and classroom materials as needed.
- Provide supervision and support for students in assigned classes, X-block groups, or other settings as required.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding student and personnel matters.
- Follow and reinforce classroom management practices and school discipline policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervising staff or administration.
