We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team. As a PTA, you will provide high-quality physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, helping patients improve mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and independence.

Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day physical therapy treatments, including bed mobility, transfers, gait and stair training, ambulation on various surfaces, therapeutic exercises, stretching, strengthening, balance, coordination, and other appropriate modalities.
- Provide treatment according to the established plan of care.
- Communicate and collaborate with other disciplines and staff to promote coordinated care and strong interdisciplinary teamwork.
- Participate in home visits, family conferences, community awareness, and marketing activities when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in residents' medical records.
- Document treatment changes and patient progress according to facility policies and procedures.
- Supervise rehabilitation and restorative aides regarding patient treatments, range of motion, ambulation, and positioning.
- Record and submit required documentation and treatment charges accurately and within established time frames.
- Complete discharge documentation, including GG documentation, home treatment programs, and equipment recommendations.
- Promote patient safety, independence, and quality of life throughout the rehabilitation process.
- Current Massachusetts State License as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
- Graduate of an APTA-approved Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- Must comply with applicable state, federal, and APTA standards of practice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a dynamic and cooperative interdisciplinary team.
