Pay Range: $70K-$75K | Bonus Eligible

Schedule: Full-time | Monday-Friday

About the Opportunity

Our client, a growing Walpole law firm, is seeking a committed Estate Planning Attorney with 1–3 years of experience to support their expanding practice. This is an exciting opportunity to build a strong book of business within a team that prioritizes work-life balance and offers flexibility for personal commitments.

Candidates with additional experience in estate administration, probate, or an LLM in Taxation with an emphasis in Estates and Trusts are strongly encouraged to apply.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Juris Doctor;
    Massachusetts Bar admission required
  • 1+ years of experience in estate planning, probate, or estate administration
  • Experience in drafting estate planning documents (wills, trusts, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proven case management capabilities
  • Additional experience with complex estates, trust administration, and tax return preparation preferred
  • Other New England bar admissions are a plus
  • Tech-savvy, poised, and client-centric
  • Motivated to learn, grow, and support a fast-growing practice

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate directly with the Principal and team members to design tailored estate plans
  • Draft and review estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and related instruments
  • Conduct legal research on estate, tax, and probate matters
  • Meet with clients and families to support probate administration and trust administration
  • Prepare and file probate pleadings and related documents
  • Administer complex estates, trusts, and lifetime planning objectives, including Irrevocable Life Insurance Trusts (ILITs)
  • Oversee preparation of fiduciary income tax returns (Form 1041), charitable returns (Form 5227), gift tax returns (Form 709), and estate tax returns (Form 706)
  • Supervise and delegate work to Paralegals and provide mentorship
  • Network with local professionals and the broader community to strengthen client relationships
