- Provide service to customers by overseeing technicians accurately repairing light, medium, and heavy‑duty trucks and equipment using special tools and equipment according to technical manual procedures
- Communicate clearly with customers, providing updates as needed
- Work with insurance adjusters and/or customers to obtain approvals for repairs
- Provide timely and accurate technical support/information to service office and customers
- Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work duties
- Communicate problems and resolutions to supervisor and customers, if requested
- Oversee tagging of warranty parts and write warranty stories
- Test drive repaired vehicles
- Assist technicians with troubleshooting, malfunction on equipment, and repairs
- Distribute repair orders fairly and evenly, matching skillset of technicians
- Manage shop workflow
- Review and adjust repair estimates
- Assist with other projects as needed
- State Appraiser's license
- 3+ years of experience in a collision shop
- 3+ years in a leadership role or service writer role
- Customer service and leadership qualities
- Driver’s license required, CDL a plus
- Proficient in the use of a personal computer and basic applications
