Director of Operations Requirements & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in management or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in operations management within catering, event, or wedding industry
  • Strong leadership experience overseeing multi-level teams
  • Demonstrated expertise with operational efficiency, budgeting, and P&L oversight
  • Experience with Caterease, Tripleseat, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills, able to work with all levels including executive leadership
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Director of Operations Preferred Background & Skills
  • Knowledge of a variety of cultural and religious customs
  • Able to coordinate and host group tastings for clients
  • Assertive yet diplomatic negotiation and problem-solving abilities
Director of Operations Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Lead daily operations ensuring all events meet company standards and client expectations
  • Supervise and mentor operations managers, event managers, and FOH staff
  • Review and approve event orders, staffing, vendor invoices, and reconciliations
  • Analyze budgets, costs, and monthly P&L statements to maximize profitability
  • Oversee training and compliance with protocols, food safety, and service standards
  • Foster relationships with vendors and hiring partners, including temporary staff agencies
  • Regularly inspect venues and attend events to ensure quality and service excellence

    Respond to client inquiries, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement across the operation
