Supply Chain Scheduler

Walpole, MA

As a Supply Chain Scheduler for Bird-Johnson, you’ll play an integral role in the preparation, planning, issuing and controlling production schedules along with coordinating material requirements, to ensure a controlled flow for approved materials is timed to meet production.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Managing incoming components and parts based on Bird-Johnson’s master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirement
  • Working closely with suppliers to confirm material demand, availability, and delivery dates to support the Naval team
  • Coordinating interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.
  • Scheduling and expediting the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders
  • Working within Systems, Applications and Products (SAP) system to ensure data integrity and compliance of supplier commitments
Basic Requirements:
  • 2+ years of work experience in logistics, supply chain planning, purchasing or manufacturing, or a degree.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time and feel comfortable working the manufacturing floor when necessary
  • In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be a US Citizen
Preferred Requirements:
  • Systems, Applications and Products (InFor) experience
  • Experience with project management
  • Experience collaborating with various departments
