As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Premier Healthcare at Harrington House, you will provide basic nursing care and assist residents with daily living activities in a compassionate, resident‑centered environment. Under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, you will answer call lights, assist with ADLs, and perform other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities- Answer call lights and respond to resident needs
- Assist residents with ADLs, including bathing, grooming, oral care, and incontinence care
- Assist with meals and feeding
- Assist with range‑of‑motion exercises, transfers, and wheelchair mobility
- Turn and reposition residents as needed
- Assist with short‑distance ambulation within the facility
- Observe and report changes in resident's condition
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Valid CNA certification (required upon start date)
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Six months of CNA experience in long‑term care preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff
- Ability to respond quickly and calmly in emergency situations
- Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and commitment to quality care
- Take ownership of resident satisfaction and service excellence
- Work collaboratively with team members
- Maintain a professional attitude, appearance, and communication style
- Address resident and family concerns respectfully and effectively
- Contribute positively to a supportive and engaging workplace culture
